Back in early March, bookmakers roughly equally assessed the chances that the Tokyo Olympics would start on time and that the opening ceremony would not take place on the scheduled date.
Two weeks later, they drastically adjusted the odds. Now, according to bookmakers, the probability that the opening ceremony of the Games in Tokyo will NOT take place on a previously set date (July 24, 2020) is 75%.
On March 17, the International Olympic Committee intends to hold a videoconference meeting related to the coronavirus pandemic (COVID-19) and their impact on the Olympics 2020.
