The service will revise the rules about advertising of gambling products. Modifications will take effect within a month. Advertising of gambling simulators will be available also in Russia.

The service provided a list of countries to which the new advertising rules will be extended. Besides Russia, the list includes Brazil, Sweden, Bulgaria and Lithuania. Advertising will be also available in Greece and Slovakia.

However, it is reported that in order to place advertisements the operator needs to go through the certification process. But there is also an open question: how the new rules are going to co-exist with the policy of the Russian Federation about online gambling and, in particular, online slots and casinos?

As soon as innovations enter into a force, they will be described on the page of rules about advertising gambling products and services related to gambling.

Previously Google Ads allowed gambling products to be advertised in countries such as Colombia, Nigeria, and Kenya. The new rules are valid from last October.

Moreover, due to the scaling up of the sports betting industry in the United States, Google Ads has allowed the promotion of products in this jurisdiction.
