On June 27, 2021, the final game of the summer series of the Sochi High Roller poker tournament took place. The winner of the festival was Russian Arseny Karmatsky, who met Andrei Chernokoz in a short heads-up event.
Note that the rivals managed to agree on an equal distribution of the prize money “for two”, so to speak, so the players competed directly for the title of champion of the Sochi tournament and an additional five thousand dollars.
The victory, already in the third hand at the final table, brought Arseny a pair of eights, his opponent, having pocket ace and queen, did not wait for the necessary outs postflop.
Let’s look at the three leaders of the festival and the size of the prize money they got: the first is, of course, Arseniy Karmatsky, having replenished his budget with 56.8 thousand dollars; the second on the list is Andrey Chernokoz with his earned 48.5 thousand dollars and Alik Zazyan closes the top three, taking 30 thousand dollars from the tournament.
Recall – at the end of March 2021, Russian poker player Artur Martirosyan won the main tournament of the EPT Sochi series in Sochi.
