Poker room partypoker has announced the flagship Grand Prix Knockout series, which this time will be held in a progressive knockout format. The festival will take place from July 18 to August 2.
16 tournaments with a total prize pool of $2,200,000 will be played in two weeks. The minimum buy-in is $ .50, and the most expensive event is $ 30. Omaha tournaments are not foreseen, but players will find a variety of formats – 6-max, 7-max, turbo and hyper-turbo structures.
For several festivals in a row, “Party” has deviated from the usual schedule. On the first day of the Grand Prix Knockout series, 5 events will be played with total prizes of $ 70,000 – almost 40% of the total festival guarantee.
On the starting day, there will be a High Roller for $530 with a $500,000 guarantee (another one will take place on July 26), as well as a couple of more accessible tournaments:
Mini 6-Max for $5.50 – $50,000 GTD;
Grand Prix 6-Max for $55 – $250,000 GTD.
On July 25th, two Main Events kick off, which also take over the majority of the guaranteed prize pool:
Mini Main Event for $11 – $100,000 GTD;
$109 Main Event – $500,000 GTD.
The Grand Prix will be closed by two 7-Max events – Mini Hyper Finale for $33 and Hyper Finale for $320 with guarantees of $15,000 and $30,000, respectively.
Closer to the start of the series, many satellites will appear in the partypoker lobby, where it will be possible to select inexpensively for almost all festival events. There is no schedule yet, but the poker room promises traditional centrolls and direct qualifying events.
As a reminder, partypoker continues to offer a simplified Boosted Cashback promotion. With it, players can earn up to 10% additional cashback by generating only $0.10 rake per day. There are no restrictions on payments. Also, Magic Card Awards are valid until July 18 – for 1 point of cashback, you can open a special card with prizes. Up to five cards can be opened per day.
