PokerStars has begun testing a new reward system that can give players up to 65% rakeback. This is the largest Stars Rewards update since Supernova was canceled, bringing in up to 70% cashback.
For testing, 20% of the “Stars” users in all pools, including the international one, were randomly selected. Players will be testing the new software through September 30, after which it may be available to all PokerStars customers.
Technically, the loyalty program remains the same, but thanks to the changes it will give users a higher rakeback. It will be built from standard chests giving 15% – 25% cashback and monthly poker tasks, where you can get up to 40% rakeback.
The Monthly Poker Challenges is a wagering bonus that is selectively offered to active players today. How they will be issued in the new version of the loyalty program is unknown.
If the innovations are implemented, then PokerStars will again be able to take the lead in cashback, as it was with Supernova, bypassing GGPokerOK, which today gives up to 60% rake.
Minimum rakeback 15% for all players
The chest mechanism remains the main tool for rewards, but now the prizes will be fixed – players will start receiving from $0.50 (for a blue chest) to $250 (for a black one).
Thus, having generated $3.33 of rake, the player opens a blue box and receives a fixed $0.50, which is equal to 15% cashback. The scoring requirements become the same for all users.
So far, these are only test parameters of the new system. What the program will turn out to be in reality, users will probably know not earlier than October.
