The World Series of Poker has approved the final schedule for the 51st series. In 2020, a record-breaking 101 gold bracelets will be played, while last year, in the anniversary season, their number was only 89.
This year 87 titles will be played in live tournaments at the Rio All-Suite Hotel & Casino, and another 14 bracelets will be played in the online tournaments of the WSOP poker room.
This week, organizers added the last seven events to the WSOP schedule. In particular, the schedule has been replenished with several mixed tournaments and with one the 6-card Omaha event.
At the upcoming WSOP, players will be surprised not only with a record number of bracelets, but also with an improved service. Last year, there were a lot of complaints about slow registration process at the reception that could continue for hours. And all that was only for taking your place at the table. This year, the organizers decided to fix this problem.
The main change is that now the points of registration and points of issue of tournament winnings will be divided to reduce the waiting time. Tai Stewart, WSOP Executive Director, commented this innovation like a way to becoming better for the players and added that this year they are ready to do their best in many areas such as technologies, equipment and people.
Online registration option
This year, players will have to bring the Caesars Rewards club card with them to the main Tropical Ballroom’s registration area, which will also be required to enter the series. If you lose a card, you can quickly make a duplicate in special points.
The Palma Ballroom, located with the main registration area, has been converted into a payout area. It will give the possibility not to interfere with players who are only planning to take places at the table. Besides the main hall, you can register for the tournament online – in special self-service terminals, which are located throughout the WSOP.
To do this, the player needs to create a tournament account in the Tropical Ballroom and deposit money into the account, after that the player can freely register for any tournaments by himself.
Daniel Negreanu said that a WSOP tournament account is a must have for those who play more than two tournaments, because after setting the card at the registration desk, people can quickly sign up to any tournament and stay at the table after a minute.
Belize Ballroom will have a special area where players can get help and useful information if they have problems or questions about registration. There is no registration in this room. Here the employees will help in case of problems connected with the terminal or with a tournament for which the player has already registered.
