There is information that the Kenyan authorities have approved the amount of tax collection on the turnover of bets – now, regardless of whether the bettor won or lost, seven and a half percent will be charged from the bet made by him, in favor of the state budget. The document was signed by the head of Kenya.
Last week, the document with changes was approved and adopted at the final third parliamentary reading of the Kenyan government. Note that in the original version, the tax levy on rates was set at twenty percent and, as a result, was reduced by more than two times.
Sometime ago n the capital of Kenya in the city of Nairobi, gambling was legalized and taxes were established for gambling operators.
We also note that in March 2021, the Kenyan authorities planned to return the 20 percent tax on rates, after reducing it to ten percent in 2019.
