At the end of 2020, 888poker launched a large-scale Made to Play promotion – under this slogan, the poker client and mobile application were updated, the new Poker8 platform was introduced, and the tournament grid was thoroughly redesigned. A key feature of Made to Play was the distribution of prizes through hundreds of freerolls and cash drops.
The promotion had a positive impact on the performance in the annual reports of the G8 for 2020, and was also noticed by experts in the poker industry. At the end of June, the prestigious EGR’s Marketing & Innovation Awards took place, where 888poker received an award in the “Poker Marketing Campaign of the Year” category.
Such awards are given every year: an independent jury selects the best applicants, after which a secret ballot takes place, based on which the winners are determined.
This year’s Best Poker Campaign award went to 888poker. The jury of the competition emphasized that the prize was received not only for client updates and lobby rework, but also for massive promotions, in which thousands of players could participate.
As part of Made to Play, 888poker has given away over $1,000,000 in freerolls, Wheel of Fortune, tournament tickets and random prizes at the poker tables:
