From February 2-16, PokerStars organizes the Bounty Builder Series with a
$ 25,000,000 guarantee. There are 180 progressive knockout tournaments with buy-ins from $ 1.1 to $ 10,300 with satellites for many expensive tournaments.
On the last day of the series at 21:00 the main tournament with a ticket cost $ 530 will begin, where it will be played at least $ 2,500,000. If you want to take part in it, you have to play temporary spins for $ 4, where tickets for the series tournaments are given as prizes for winners.
As we know in progressive knockouts, the prize pool of the tournament is divided into two parts: the usual prize pool and awards for knocked out players called bounty. For today players get a half of the bounty for a knocked out player and the second part is added to the bounty of the main player. However, such a system may change: over the past few weeks, PokerStars has been testing a new prize distribution system when the bounty is divided not 50/50, but 70/30. The main sum is paid immediately; the smaller is added to the cost of the bounty of the knocker out.
This new format is still being tested at inexpensive tournaments, but it is possible that after the Bounty Builders more and more tournaments in the regular schedule will distribute prizes according to the new system.
